APEELING SWEETS

I have worked as a pastry chef in some of the best kitchens and can now pass these skills on to clients. We can bake a variety of cakes for any occasion. Some of the best cakes today are the low-fat/low-carb and gluten-free varieties.

 

We have worked to perfect the "healthy" cake and can extend this to a range of other treats, such as ice-creams, cookies, and even breads.

We can create other treats such as chocolates, Turkish delights, licorice, honeycomb, taffies, fondants, brittles, mousselines, pralines, fruit gummies, and a host of other favorites.

​

Cakes we cook on a regular basis include Victorian Sponge, Pound cake, Angel Food cake, Chiffon cake, Choux cake, Madeira cake, Italian Meringue cake, Boston cake, brownies, teacakes, Sachertorte, and nut torte.

The following desserts can be made for regular diets, and also for restrictive diets:

Fruit Pie – Using whatever seasonal fruit is available, such as apple, cherry, peach, rhubarb, strawberry, or blueberry.

 

NY Style Baked Cheesecake – Truly wonderful served cold and drenched in fruit sauce. There are variations such as chocolate, or cookies 'n cream. Or have it in a more traditional way - spiced, or with plump sultanas soaked in brandy with a hint of almond.

 

Baked Citrus Tart – A shortcrust pastry shell filled with a refreshing lemon/lime/grapefruit custard.

Chocolate Pie – A decadent concoction of sweet crust pastry, and rich White, milk, or dark chocolate and whipped cream. Flavored with a shot of coffee, or liquor.

​

Salted Caramel Pie – Thick caramel meets a delicious a contrast with sea salt, and a biscuit crumb base with bitter dark chocolate or piped whipped cream.

​

Lemon or Lime Meringue – a barely set citrus curd is topped with lashings of toasted Italian Meringue.

​

Almond Frangipane – A fave at Parisian patisseries. Fragrant Almond Frangipane pastry is baked with cherries, raspberries, or pear.

​

Also available is our Full English High Tea service for a minimum of two persons, includes freshly baked scones and thick cream, homemade jams, a selection of petit four cakes, sandwiches, and an assortment of fine teas.
